2013 Preaching Conference

Today I am attending the 2013 Preaching Conference hosted by the Georgia Baptist Convention. I am at Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, GA. Years ago we lived almost across the street from Hebron Baptist Church. We were members of First Baptist Dacula and lived in a home right next to that church and across the train tracks from Hebron. It is good to be back for a visit!

I am always encouraged, blessed and "fired up" by the soul stirring music and passionate preaching of the Word that I hear at this annual event. I am grateful for our Church family sending me for this time of fellowship, refreshing and partnering with all the GBC is doing in our state and around the world.

From 1:00 to 5:00 I will hear messages delivered by:

• Pastor Johnny Hunt, FBC Woodstock
• Pastor Kevin Miller, Hebron Baptist 
• Dr. David Mills, Professor of Evangelism at SWBTS
• Pastor Don Wilton, FBC Spartanburg

Along with the preaching there will be some fantastic special music and congregational singing.

If I am able to, I will post an update or two from the services. Check back for some first hand comments and updates from today's preaching.

The GBC Annual meeting will then kick off tonight at 6:00pm and go until 9:00pm. Tuesday will be a full day of meetings, reports, messages and times of fellowship.
