Sunday Summary May 26,2013

What a great day of worship we had together today! The congregational singing, the special by Lee, Donna and Pam along with the choir special led our hearts in worship. I LOVED having the privilege to preach on Ephesians 2:11-22 - WOW! What a rich passage. What a blessing it is to be reconciled and to have peace with God and man. What a wonderful and life changing truth in verse 13, "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."

Here is the outline from the message.
1. Remember who you were without Christ (vv. 11-12)
2. Receive what Christ has Accomplished (vv. 13-18)
3. Respond to this Truth (vv. 19-22)

At one time we were all "strangers to the covenants of promise," We were not part of or heirs to the promises of God. We could not sing: "Every Promise in the Book is mine." What a sad condition. Thankfully because of Christ's sacrifice we who are "in Christ" are not longer strangers to the promises! Amen!

In looking up the lyrics to the song "Every Promise in the Book is Mine", I found a video of the "Sensational Nightingales" singing this song and was I ever blessed! I watched it on Thursday and again Sunday morning prior to church and my heart was filled with joy and thanksgiving for the promises we have in Christ.

You too will be blessed by watching these brothers in Christ sing this wonderful old song. Get comfortable, prepare to be blessed and watch the song and rejoice in the message; you will find it HERE.

You will be in our thoughts and prayers this week.We will look forward to being back with you on June 5th and to preach again on June 9. We will be in Ephesians 3 and I know we will be blessed!

Living in Peace,
Pastor Mike
