Homecoming

I would imagine the word “Homecoming” has made Bill Gaither a wealthy man. There are “Homecoming” concerts, “Homecoming” videos, and even a “Homecoming” magazine. I have been blessed by the “Homecoming” videos and DVD’s that we have. The music, stories and testimonies are always a source of encouragement. I even enjoy listening to the “Homecoming” radio program on my Sirius XM radio. Bill Gaither and his friends on the “Homecoming” radio always sound like they are having a great time and I enjoy the time I can share with them as I am riding down the road.

Well, on Sunday October 4th, Bill Gaither will not be in Calhoun, GA.; but we will be having a Homecoming at Salem Baptist Church (if you are Bill Gaither and you happen to read this and you are passing through Calhoun, Georgia; you are welcome to stop by and visit with us).

Our worship service will begin at 10:30. We will sing together, our choir will sing, our very own “Salem Vocal Band” will sing (watch out Gaither vocal band!) and our former Pastor William Roberts will be preaching. We are anticipating a great day of worship, and some delicious food and fellowship around the table. It’s going to be a GREAT day!

You will be happy to invite your friends and family to come and be a part of our “Homecoming” service. Take a moment to call some folks right now and invite to come on over on Sunday at 10:30. Well, actually it would be good to get here a little early – we will have a house full!

So, the word “Homecoming” has been good to Bill Gaither and it can be good to you too. All you have to do is come and join us this Sunday, October 4th at 10:30.

Looking forward to Homecoming,

Pastor Mike
