A Few Quotes about Forgiveness

I am continuing to read multiple books on forgiveness. As I read, I learn more and more of the incredible power of forgiveness and I long to be able to share this truth with others so they may experience the freedom that comes from forgiveness.

Here are a few quotes from the book: "Forgiveness ... the Ultimate Miracle" by Paul J. Meyer.

• "The person who angers you, conquers you."
• "Colin C. Tipping, who works with cancer patients to help them forgive, makes the following observation: "Nearly all cancer patients, besides having a lifetime habit of suppressing and repressing emotions, are known to share a marked inability to forgive."
• "Charlie "Tremendous" Jones once said, "Our unwillingness to forgive when we've been deeply hurt breeds self-pity and bitterness."
• "Benjamin Franklin noted, "Doing an injury puts you below your enemy; revenging one makes you even with him; forgiving sets you above him."
• "When we blame another person for how we feel, we grant them the power to regulate our emotions." - Dr. Fred Luskin

Well, that should give you something to think about today. We need to think about these quotes because they serve to remind us of the importance of forgiveness in our daily living.

I am grateful for the wise words of others that can "Inform" our thinking and I am passionate about the good counsel of God's Word that can literally "Transform" our lives.

For your "Transformation" I leave you with Ephesians 4:31-32...

Ephesians 4:31-32 (ESV)
³¹ Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
³² Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.


Ask the Father to enable you to live out the truth of these two verses today... when you do you will experience His supernatural work of transformation!
