The Light to See

Thanks for stopping back by for a brief visit today.

Sunday Night at Salem was a GREAT night!

Chalk Artist and soloist Melanie Ingle-Myers blessed us with her music and a powerful message delivered by the chalk art she drew for us.

Which Road are You On?
As Melanie drew the picture, she asked us to see if we could figure out what she was drawing. It took me a while because I was enthralled with watching the picture develop as she drew. You can see she portrayed the broad road that leads to destruction and the narrow road that leads to life everlasting. Jesus calls us to the narrow road and we are to help others find that "road" as well. In the picture above you can faintly see Jesus in the background. As she drew the picture we were not able to see Jesus. At the appropriate time she adjusted the lighting and what was unseen but there all along was a beautiful drawing of Jesus. It is a little clearer in the next picture.

Jesus Offers a "New Heart"

The special lighting brought into view what was always there on the drawing. This caused me to think of God's Word. It is a "lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105). There are unseen realities all around us and the Word of God has the power to bring into focus what the natural eye or the natural man can not discern.

What a great reminder to read God's Word daily so we can see with greater clarity all that He has for us.

Praying for eyes to see,
Pastor Mike
