Preparing For Sunday

As we prepare for Sunday, will you join me in the following three activities?

1. PRAYING

Let's pray for God's presence to be evident as we gather to worship on Sunday.
Let's pray for the Spirit's anointing on the worship service.
Let's pray for all who have been invited to come and join us for a service on Sunday.
Let's pray for Melanie Ingle-Myers as she prepares to minister to us on Sunday night.

2. PONDERING

Take some time to ponder the following verses. By doing so we are preparing our heart for the message God will have for us on Sunday.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (ESV)
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Ezekiel 11:19-21 (ESV)
And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,
that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
But as for those whose heart goes after their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their deeds upon their own heads, declares the Lord GOD.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Revelation 21:5 (ESV)
And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

3. PURSUING

It is never too late to continue to pursue after those we would like to see join us for Bible Study and Worship. Just remember they will not come if you do not ask them to. The souls of our friends are worth the pursuit.

As we do these three things we will find a sense of divine expectancy building in our hearts for Sunday.

Praying, Pondering, and Pursuing with you,
Pastor Mike
