Day 2 of 2014.
I am grateful for the turning of the pages of the calendar and for the hope and prospects that come with the beginning of a new year.
When you think about it, everyday is a new beginning. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow has become today. Today; in this present moment, in this hour, in this day there are wonderful opportunities, unlimited potential, and great hope to live for the Glory of God and the good of others. What a great day today is!
On Wednesday, I finished reading "How People Change" by Timothy S. Lane and Paul David Tripp. It is a very practical book and one I am sure I will reference from time to time for my own benefit and to help others in the process of change; which we call life.
Let me share with you a section I marked on page 195. I trust you will find encouragement in their words.
"There is hope for us because Jesus is all we need. These words capture our lives with the Lord.
Each morning that greets me is full of hope
Not because I am successful at what I am doing,
Or because the people near me appreciate me,
Or because the circumstances are easy,
But because God is, and he is my Father.
To look at the morning any other way
Is to believe a lie.
To live in hope is to live in truth;
To live in truth is to bring him glory;
To bring God glory in my daily living
Is the highest form of worship."
May you live in truth today and the HOPE that truth brings,
