I enjoyed the book and was challenged to evaluate my life in light of what I read. Here are a couple of quotes from the book worthy of your time to think about.* "Slaves did not have to worry about where their next meal would come from or whether or not they would have a place to stay. Their sole concern was to carry out the interests of their owner. In return, the master cared for their needs." (p. 27)
* "The Hebrew people had been delivered from one master in order to serve another. God would be their sovereign King, and they would be his loyal subjects. The Exodus did not rescue them from slavery altogether, but only from slavery to Pharaoh. Now they were slaves of God:" (p. 31)
