Tonight our church family will be meeting at Mason’s Funeral home, to be with the Miller family. Becky Miller’s mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams passed away on December 31, 2010. She was blessed to have lived 95 years. We can find strength and comfort in the words of Psalm 116:15 which tells us “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” While there is sorrow at our loss there is still comfort in knowing that for all who know Christ “to be absent from the body,” is “to be present with the Lord.” (2 Cor. 5:8).

Let’s also remember to pray for Carol Everett and the sudden passing of her sister Elaine, on Saturday evening. Elaine has struggled with various health issues for years and while we also sorrow over our loss we are comforted in knowing that she is in the presence of the Lord and is no longer trouble by any physical aches, pains or other health issues. Funeral arrangements will be posted as soon as I am aware of them.
